In the last 20 years, China's transportation infrastructure construction has been a rapid development, clearly easing the traffic underdeveloped infrastructure issues which plaguing the economic development for many long, stimulating the rapid growth of related industries, playing an important role in promoting the national economy. With the increasing extension of traffic infrastructure project scale and the increase of the technological process complexity, risk of all kinds become more and more important. The risk engineering project faced has deserved more and more people's attention.With reference to the concept and theory studies achievements about Risk and Risk Management in both home and abroad and based on the background of transportation infrastructure of China and a lot of data collection, this article separates complex engineering project risk into simple risk factors and establishes a transportation construction project risk assessment indicator system. At the same time, after analyzing the characteristics and erroneous of the current project risk assessment methodology, establishes a BP neural network model of transportation construction project risk assessment. After trained, tested and analyzing examples, it solves construction projects risk assessment.I hope this proposed model will be of some importance and effective guidance to the decision makers and management people who are involved in the transportation construction projects.
