Water Resources And Hydropower Engineering Landscape Design Research

Water conservancy tourism is a newly-born force in the tourism industry, with its graceful green mountains of clean-limpid rivers, magnificent water works and abundant water culture attracting more and more people to enjoy their beauty and has become a piece of "erotic flower" of the tourism industry.However, many water resources and hydropower engineering scenery tourism zones have been designed twice or for many times after water works have been completed. As a result, natural landforms and geomorphology, water body, vegetation and architectural structures have been overthrown and rebuilt for many times, whereby the natural landscape resources have been extremely destroyed, and so are the ecological balance and bio-diversity undermined; and the exploration rate of tourism resources is low with the single kind of tourism products, and there are a few significant humanity landscapes of historical significance. Encountered with the vacillation and helplessness of the present water resources and hydropower engineering landscape designs, the feasible methods or measures probed into with active thinking and great endeavors are the duty-bound responsibilities of our people engaging in water resources.Water resources and hydropower landscape design embraces water works design and landscape design of two aspects. Engineering requires the good command of the professional knowledge of water resources engineering, while the landscape design necessitates a good grasp of multi-disciplinary knowledge such as anthropological and social sciences, environ science, landscape planning, architecture, artistic science, psychology, geography, forestry, ecology, etc. In addition, landscape involves environs, ecology, economy, and work concerning interests and valuable views of many sides. For this reason, in its planning and design, it is necessary to coordinate and channel with such professionals and sectors as city construction, water resources, environs protection and horticulture and forestry, etc.In combination with many true examples of water resources scenery zones in many countries over the world, this paper analyses the features of water resources and hydropower engineering, and the scope of water resources and hydropower engineering landscape as well as the landscape resources features of water resources and hydropower engineering works so as to establish the landscape design framework. Also, this paper analyzes the existing conditions and the in-depth causes of landscape design, predicts and looks forward the landscape development trends in the future. Meanwhile, this paper introduces in details the entire principles of landscape design, the local principles, eco-sustainable principles, peculiar principles an the individual optimization principles as well as the water body landscape, hydraulic structure landscape and the design method of greening. Finally, this paper analyzes two real examples, hoping that they should have the great benefits for the landscape resources use and construction of Chenjun reservoir of the Baxue River and the Xishui hydropower station on the Yazuei River in Tibet so as to provide the reference basis for the related research and construction in the future.
