Study On The Planning For Bus Rapid Transit In Xi'an

With the growing of transportation demand and the car increase, urban public transport developed slowly. Urban traffic problems increase severity.Influenced by the urban road condition and compact car impact, the result of improve bus Transit investment became more and more small, the Railway Traffic construction is also slowly. However, the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) has many advantages, such as less invest, short construction cycle, great capacity, rapid speed and little pollution. Therefore, at present it has the important significance to research the Bus rapid transit.This paper introduces the detailed domestic and foreign development BRT experience, and has carried on the analysis and the summary to the BRT characteristic. It will provide the references to us, Next, the thesis work over key problem of the application of BRT—the technique of constructing Bus lane, the technique of intersection priority, the technique of constructing BRT stop and the method of ascertaining the capacity of BRT vehivle. it evaluates the transportation condition of Xi'an, proposed alleviates the current transportation condition the suggestion, and analysis the BRT plan, puts forward the proposal, in particularly, showed some originalities in how to develop the Bus rapid transit as well as the Bus Transit and the Railway Traffic coordinated development. Finally gives some management strategy suggestion on developing BRT.The research will provide the references to implement the urban master planning and develop the integrative transport system.
