Coke drum is the key equipment of the delayed coking device. The manufacture craftwork of coke drum is complex. It costs 48 hours in a produce cycle and the temperature of coke drum raise from room temperature to 480℃. After many years run, the drum deformation and cucurbit deformation appear.In this paper, the internal force and displacement of body of the coke drum which is suffer from temperature stress and inner compressive force are talked about. Attach to the force and deformation of coke drum, some assumptions are made in reason. so we can receive the contral equation of cylindrical shell. Solving the control equation, the inner force and displacement can be got. MISES yield rule is used to determine the region which has yielded and hardened during the process of temperature rising and dropping. During the phases of long heat preservation, the hardened material of cylindrical shell recovers, so that the capability of mechanics is recovered. Therefore, we come to the conclusion that the deformation of coke drum is the result of progressive plastic deformation.The resolution of this paper intuitionally shows out affecting factors of the inner force and displacement, So the proper solution can be taken. Therefore, deformation is reduced, life is prolonged and money is saved.
