In the asphalt regeneration equipment,due to the fixed yield of mixing console,the change of the regeneration addition proportion will affect the yield of the original drying drum,thereby affect the equipment life and product quality.In order to adapt to the change of the yield of the drum,this paper uses the threedimensional modeling software SOLIDWORKS and the discrete element simulation software EDEM to simulate and optimize the speed regulation performance and heat transfer performance of different structures of variable yield drying drum.The main research contents include:(1)The performance of four kinds of lifting blades.(2)The influence of different heights,positions and numbers of retaining ring on the performance of drum.(3)The performance of two kinds of containing blades.Finally,the structure of variable yield drying drum is optimized based on the above simulation results.The research shows that:(1)In the study of the lifting blades,it is found that with the increase of the rotation speed,the heat transfer effect is enhanced.But when the yield decreases or the speed increases to a high speed,the speed regulation sensitivity decreases.The speed regulation sensitivity of the notch blade is larger at low yield.Among them,the speed regulation performance of oblique-notched blade is only second to that of V-notch blade,and its heat transfer performance is better.(2)Through the study of the retaining ring,it is found that the installation of the retaining ring helps to increase the speed regulation sensitivity of the drum at low yield or high speed,and the comprehensive performance is better when the height of retaining ring is 120 mm.The installation position of the retaining ring has little effect on the speed regulation performance of the drum.Increasing the number of retaining rings can increase the speed regulation sensitivity of the drum at low yield or high speed.(3)In the study of the containing blade,it is found that the average residence time decreases with the increasing of the yield or rotational speed.However,too large rotational speed leads to a decrease in the variation range of residence time with rotational speed.When the opening height of the blade is large,the residence time distribution range of the particles is large,the average residence time is long,and the speed regulation sensitivity of the drum is also large.The optimized lifting area of the variable yield drying drum should be equipped with oblique-notched blades,and a 120 mm retaining ring should be installed between each row of blades.The containing area should be equipped with full-type blades with an opening height of 53 mm,so as to obtain better heat transfer performance and speed regulation performance,so as to better adapt to the change of the yeild.The research results lay the foundation for the development of efficient variable yield drying drum. |
