As Automobile develops in the direction of high-speed,high-weight and frequent braking times,higher requirements are required to brakes as the key components of the braking system. In the thesis,the main study object is the stress field of drum brake from a micro-car, on the basis of the analysis to the research status in domestic and foreign, finite element simulation analysis of the drum brake'stress field and static strain measurement test were done, which provided theoretical basis and reference for the brake's design,optimization,the improvement of friction's wear and contact uniformity, provided reference for the stress study on space of non-uniform internal pressure cylinder.The main structure parameters of drum brakes and mechanical foundation was introduced, geometry models of the main parts of the brake were established using UG software, especially based on experimental data, the brake shoe friction model had been continuously modified, and the ideal brake geometry model was established in the end, which provided reliable guarantee for finite element analysis of brake.Brake's finite element model was established using finite element simulation software ABAQUS; Simulations in different braking forces were compeleted , stress field distribution of the brake was analyzed, and the contact state was judged; On the basis of these work, the brake's improvement work was done, and stress field distribution and contact state of the improved drum brake model was gotten, influences of brake's main structure parameter on contact state were analyzed and researched, and eventually got the more ideal assembly parameter.Test Bench for brake drum static strain test was built, work stress of the brake drum in different braking situations was measured, brake drum's stress distribution features were gotten; The comparison of the simulation value of test point and test value indicated that test value and simulation value has good anastomosis and coincidence, and proved that it was feasible to study the brake drum's real stress field distribution in the method of studying simulation model's stress field.
