As society and construction technology advanced, constructions in city become much more largely scaled and highly storied. Consequently, high requirements of power supplies in buildings are needed. Moreover informationlization and modernization ties buildings to power supplies solidly. However, sudden accidents occurring in power supply still cannot be avoided. In spite of strict electric administration and advanced electric equipments, power cuts still happen occasionally. Therefore, EPS as one kind of emergency power supply equipments is widely used in such cases.This thesis focuses on developing full digital controlled EPS based on DSP. To begin with, it analyzes advantages of EPS compared with other kinds of emergency power supply equipments, and future development trend such as digitalization, intelligentization and high frequency. It also gives the study focuses and its structure.Secondly, introduction lies on system configuration and overall design of EPS as well as function of each component. Then the charger and the inverter designs are set forth at length. The charger adopts a brief BUCK circuit and the subsection charge method is involved in battery charge. The inverter uses full bridge topology and SPWM technique. The inverter voltage is controlled by single closed loop feedback based on PID.In the next, the concrete hardware design of EPS is presented, based on TI's TMS320LF2407, which fits to realize the output voltage controlled inverter. This part includes electric connections, control circuit based on DSP and portions of hardware schemes.Subsequently, the thesis provides a brief software design involving DSP and MCS-51. Thoughts of software design and software flow diagrams are given, respectively.The creative point in this paper is that using digital technology based on DSP to design the system. All the arithmetic is implemented by digital circuit and DSP software. It is better than the EPS before. It has better performance and higher intelligentization.Finally, experiment waveforms are presented as well as a brief analysis. The tests demonstrate that this designed EPS can produce good quality waveforms, run steadily, have a high reliability, and can be put into practice.
