Face to the financial crisis,high international oil prices and increasingly severe pressure on energy conservation,electric vehicles have become the new direction of the vehicles.Electric Vehicle charging station is a very important part of facility in charging station.lt must fit up numbers of charging station to meet the normal traffic demand and increase charge rate of battery.As a power electronic equipment, EV chargers will pollute the power grids. The choice of different types of charger and the choice of power supply of charging station will affect the economic factor.Therefore, it is necessary to analyze the harmonics, power factor, power consumption, and power supply of charging station.Around the "Research on Charger and Charging Station Models ",using the PSCAD/EMTDC,this paper modelled the uncontrolled rectification charger,12-pulse rectification charger and PWM rectification charger.Issues are parts of the preliminary design work before stations construction.Mainly include the following parts:Modeling the three kinds of chargers. Studying the harmonics,PF, and efficiency.Providing modeling of the charging stations consist of multiple chargers,including input chargers simultaneously or not, and analyzes the harmonics.The DC power supply and AC power supply modes are Studied. Rectifiers and lines losses are compared.The results show that uncontrolled rectification charger produce lots of harmonices,PF equals 0.84.12-pulse rectification charger could decrease the harmonics well,PF equals 0.86,the PWM rectification charger also contains little harmonics while lower efficiency,PF equals 0.986.When multiple chargers works, the 5th harmonic current exceed the limits for the 5 of uncontrolled rectification chargers. The 11th harmonic current exceed the limits for the 19 of 12-pulse chargers.but 20 of PWM chargers works safe under 20.The DC power supply is better than the AC power supply. Under DC bus power supply of the charging station, when the DC power lines longer than 500 meters, the loss of PWM rectifier charger is most minimum, the loss of using 12-pulse rectifier charger is the lowest when the line length from 0 to 500 meters.Research method and the simulation model applicable to other problems of the simulation of charging stations.
