As a new means of transport, the electric vehicle has great advantages in alleviating energy crisis and atmospheric pollution, and promoting the harmonious development between human and environment. Electric vehicle charging infrastructure construction is the premise and basis of the healthy development of electric vehicle industry. Charger is the main part of electric vehicle charging station which supplies energy for batteries. This soft design of HF charger based on embedded mricrocontroller processor, which is the product of Jiangsu UPF electric company, is researched in this disssertation. These functions, such as charger’s sequential control, data acquisition, man-machine interaction, CAN communications, fault detection, Modbus communication and other functions are realized.Firstly, the research background of the charger is introduced. And the software design scheme of the charger based on embedded real-time operating system is presented according to the product demand.Secondly, μC/OS-Ⅱ real-time operating system is transplanted on the MCU LM3S9B92. The application is devided into several tasks running and schedualed by the operating system. And, the priorities of tasks are arranged according to the demand of real time. Then sequential control task, fault detection task, LCD task, Modbus task, BMS CAN task, auxiliary task and interruptions are designed and realized. Finally, the software is installed and tested together with the hardware. The test results show that charger can charge intelligently, detect fault quickly and make the corresponding action, communicate rapidly, store related data in time for the operator to consult, which means the design meets the demand of the charger. The charger together with the software present in this paper has passed the tests of Quality Inspection and Testing Center.
