It has been already about 90 years from the first mass spectrograph invented by JJ.thomson in 1911. At present, different types of mass spectrograph have been widely used in chemistry, materials science, the environment, geology, energy, medicine, life sciences, food safety and other fields. Therefore, it is very significant to develop mass spectrograph with the independent intellectual property. This subject derives from the fifteenth national science and technology research significant project"Research and Development of chromatography mass spectrograph". The research content is to develop auxiliary signal generator of the measurement and control system.There are many types of mass spectrograph, such as quadrupole mass spectrograph, ion trap mass spectrograph, time-of-flight mass spectrograph, etc. Thereinto ion trap mass spectrograph is a new development of the technology, which can do multi-stage MS analysis, and do useful to a qualitative analysis of complex compound. But, comparing with quadrupole mass spectrograph, the control systems of ion trap mass spectrograph is more complex, the requirements on time are more stringent. Auxiliary signal generator (AC) is a part of many control circuit of ion trap mass spectrograph.The primary function of the auxiliary signal generator is output sine wave or SWIFT (stored wave form inverse Fourier transform) wave at the scheduled time. Sine wave is used for the separation and detection of ion, SWIFT will be used for Ion screening. Sine wave is needed in the range of 1Hz~1MHz, and with 0Vpp-20Vpp amplitude changeable, amplitude modulation can also. SWIFT waveform frequency ranged for 1Hz~500 KHz.Because the auxiliary signal generator is specially designed for the ion pitfall mass spectrograph. Considering the power loss, the volume and the cost, in this thesis, I use a FPGA as the core and design various function modules in it.
