Aiming at the present situation that the further development upon the available general CAD System severely lags behind the increasing popularization of the application of CAD system in our country. the author, using VC ++6.0 IDE and the development module of Pro/ENGINEER—Pro/TOOLKIT,made a further development upon Pro/ENGINEER and established a Low-voltage Electrical Apparatus CAD system which has the features of parameterization and interdependency.Based on the study of contactor product and relevant software,the research aim is that attempt to exploit Low-voltage Electrical Apparatus intelligent CAD system,and provide a kind of useful mode.This system include product parameter calculation programming, parametric drawing and analyse and so on .In a way this system can finish series of hard work instead of devisers.such as design,calculation,check and graphic manage,which greatly shorten design period,lighten labor intensity,raise design efficiency;participate in project decision,adjust and optimize design parameter,in order to improve level and quality of contactor.The system uses Visual C++ 6.0 of Microsoft company and Pro/TOOLKIT as Integrated Develop Environment.The system runs on Pro/ENGINEER,and use database exploitation technology and Object Oriented means.The system include parameter calculation,parametric drawing,analysis function and help system,the user once present original parameter,the system can finish correlative parameter calculate automaticly.and save showed result on hard disk as text file .Otherwise it can lookup correlative parameter of product in database;realize parametric drawing of contactor basic component and 3D modeling for fitting,and can link ANSYS to analyse product character.To AC up-and-down contactor design this paper detailedly demonstrates the procedure and correlative technology of the further development upon Pro/ENGINEER,I think,which has biggish reference value for the development of similar system.
