The Research And Design About Vernacular Concept Of Cities' Family Refrigerator

Nowadays Chinese refrigerator has made a great progress, after more than 20 years developing. But the research about vernacular concept of family refrigerator in our country hasn't been expanded in a detailed manner;most of the research is about creative ideas in the appearance of the product or new technology application. Along with the developing of the refrigerator industries, the product market begins to enter its "autumn" time: the competition of refrigerator industries becomes more and more dog-eat-dog, each manufacturer makes great efforts in order to earn its own market. Another result of the competition is: it leads the refrigerator product to homogeneity tendency. That's means all of the refrigerators have comparability in configuration, function, service, appearance, price, use, technology and so on, and the same kinds of refrigerator can substitute eachother in most of the aspects.The first refrigerator is just one of the "exotic", whether its function, configuration, Man-Machine interface, or its technology, all is imported directly from countries outsides. But along with the developing of the economic, people begin to live a better life than before, and theirs standard of living and the attitude of consumption is changing, too. They begin to think much of the material requirements, mostly is about the use function. And then, the conflict between vernacular living style and the use of "exotic" appears gradually, and people will find more or less unadapted aspects.So, it is realistic to discuss about the vernacular use functions of refrigerator in these background.The purpose of this paper is, through the study about the family life of townsmen, as well as the analysis about the present refrigerators, to contrasts the two parts to find the unadapted aspects, and improve on the unadapted aspects to make it satisfy the real needs of people, and on this basis we can conclude a concept of vernacular use functions of family refrigerator.This article has five chapters:Chapter one is the introduction part, explains the background , meaning, research content, goal, methods of the thesis. And the definitionsof many concepts are given in this part.In Chapter two, we analysis the concept of vernacular design in detail, as well as the traits of vernacular, mainly discuss about the inevitability of vernacular design.In Chapter three , we analysis the possible influencing factors in detail, which have something to do with the vernacular use functions of refrigerator. We mainly think about consumers' attitude of consumption and the correlative conditions.In Chapter four is mainly about the analysis of refrigerator and consumers, and then contrast the two to find the unadapted aspects, and then to find the primary content of vernacular use functions of refrigerator.Chapter five a design concept, mainly sum up the result of the analysis, and answer for what is a vernacular refrigerator like.Chapter six is the research results and design prospect, discusses about the developing possibilities of the research.Jin Xinmin(Design Art) Supervised by Associate professor Wu Xiang...
