With the development of three-dimensional graphic technique and computer technique, three-dimension design already has been inevitable tendency of CAD application. At present , the application of three-dimension technique on gear reducer design mainly focuses on three-dimension solid modeling, finite element analysis, and so on. Overall three-dimension design on the whole gear reducer is at the stage of searching. This thesis develops three-dimension parametric and visual system on gear reducer, It is a item of coal engine factory of Zhangjiakou, which solve their actual problem that is NGW-S gear box. It not only improves design efficiency significance for the element analysis of products. This also accords with development require of modern technique . This thsis is visual system on the gear reducer, which is developed and runs on Windows XP platform. It is secondary development to Pro/ENGINEER by using Pro/TOOLKIT, and VC++6.0 is used as a compiler. This thesis analyses and designs the system; Design objects, design parameters and models are classified by using object-oriented technique. It building gear reducer system of parametric formation by researching the way of gear reducer visual design. It building parametric part model library by using Pro/ENGINEER. Secondary development technique on Pro/ENGINEER is studied, and extended the gear reducer visual system library is built. A user-friend interface is developed by using VC++6.0 as developing tool .
