Study On The Linear Public Space And Cityscape

The dissertation posed the conception of the linear public space on the study base of the city open space. The linear public space launches along the linearity and forms the cityscape sequence of open space. It is the artificial corridor with the natural protectorate, national park, park, historic site, or natural corridor along the river and stream and so on. The linear public space from the perspective of cognition, the perspective of ecology and the perspective of, can divide into three kinds, a kind of the tour route for the city, a kind of urban riverfront greenbelt and the symmetric axis.The dissertation through the cognitive psychology, landscape architecture and the city open space design theory and method, study on how use linear public space more effective. We can connect the relatively independent city open space in historical and culture city , enable display fully and complete the cityscape characteristic of the historical and culture city.This article take Xi'an as an example, on the study base of the open space spatial layout in historical city of Xi'an, study the linear public space layout in the historical city of Xi'an. And selected the typical linear public space in the main city (the Big goose Pagoda to Bell and Drum tower section) to carry on the landscape investigation and study, analyzed the question, faced with opportunity and challenge. And aims at the question, select a typical section to carry on the conceptual design, thus is more comprehensive and whole demonstration and reconstructs the cityscape historical city of Xi'an.
