Research On The Cityscape Image And Space Pattern Of The Hangzhou City

Landscape construction hinges on the establishment of an environmental order. During the construction of urban in China, the study of regional scene formation has long been overlooked, and the exploiture of scenery has not been scientifically developed in an orderly way. Consequently, contemporary constructions encounter lot of conflicts, and however much resource is invested in the project, the deadlock of "resemblance and uniformity of every city" and "constant changes and repairs" still cannot be avoided. Lots of city landscape constructions are now facing the process of adjustment, which offers a more profound solution for the present problems in city landscape construction in China. This thesis will further deal with the features of Hangzhou's landscapes and try to come up with a suitable formation for the city.There is an old Chinese saying, "If you want to improve your work, sharpen your implements first." In view of the various and abundant theories on landscape, this thesis will base the discussion on the background and the requirements of the subject. It also aims at sorting out the system infos of environmental cognition and landscape ecology, then bringing forward a method for erecting landscape order, and deriving from it two parts of theory, namely, imago interpretation and structure fabrication.Apperception of landscape image: Based on the various standards of landscape imago interpretation, this thesis chooses to establish the cognitive relationships between landscape resources and human receptivity. In the course of investigation, the principles of environmental psychology have been consulted; the methods of map-reading and questionnaire-dispatching, etc, have been adopted; the interactional effects between different elements images have been studies; and the landscape formation has been appraised in terms of excursionists' pleasance and satisfactionFabrication of landscape pattern: After interpreting of the city's landscape imagoes, "structure safety" is radicated to be the main issue. In terms of district layout and city programming, the underlying relations between particles, patches, passages and portions of Hangzhou's landscapes are clarified, through the study of landscape ecology, the collation of environmental texture, the conformity of scenery resources, and the inventorying of landscape deposit. With "structure safety" as the layout principle, the structure fabrication can embark on the process of "gradual opening".In the comprehensive view, the erection of the "structure safety" mode will provide sound safeguard for Hangzhou's landscape construction. In a more concrete view, the interpretation of landscape images and the study of configuration order will provide instruction for programming and designing, reduce irrational and contradictory investment, and help Hangzhou's landscape construction to achieve genuine profundity and fineness.
