A Study On The Traditional Residential Houses Of XiZhou In YunNan Province

Xi Zhou is a famous history and culture town which is affiliated of Dali City, and it is also the one of the birthplace of Bai nationality culture in Dali. Xi Zhou, under the particular natural environment, social and historical background, and the impact of theeconomic basis, has a specific cultural characteristics of the typical residential area------the Bai nationality ancient residential complex Xi Zhou, Dali, Yunnan.The paper integratedly studys Xi Zhou Bai nationality residential complex of Dali, Yunnan, including the patterns of villages layout, the layout of residential construction, building structure, interior and exterior decoration, etc.The paper is divided into four sections: the first part includes the first and second chapters, which elaborates and analyses the the background of Xi Zhou Bai nationality ancient residential development in Dali, and discusses the impact on Xi Zhou ancient residential buildings by the history, nature, geography and climate, culture, economy and religion, etc. The second part consists of three chapter and four chapters, it mainly from different aspects and angles studys the ancient residential buildings comprehensively, in order to show uniqueness and artistry of the Xi Zhou Bai nationality Architecture: (1) studying the patterns and characteristics of the old residential village. (2) From space layout, architectural structures, materials, decoration of the ancient residential to discuss the characteristics of the residential monomer construction. The third part elaborates the inheritance and development of Xi Zhou traditional houses, mainly through analysis and researching the ancient residential complex, for the purpose of offering advice on protection of the ancient residential complex, and supplying reference ideas to Xi Zhou modern residential development, and making it's development coordination with the ancient residential complex. The fourth part is the conclusion. It summarizes the characteristics of the architectural complex of Xi Zhou Bai People's house.
