This dissertation makes study on the calculation of Torque of the hybrid stepping motor in different length of airgap, because of the obvious differences between theoretical research and Mass-production . The relationship of the length of airgap and the harmonics profiles of torque are discussed, which is realized by means of FE analysis, and on basis of it, the conception of critical airgap is provided. It is pointed out that the length of airgap must be in the scope of that critical value. Then FEM is also severed to construct a exhaustive model, that is, give rise to reactance curve, torque-angle characteristics, flux linkage ,torque harmonic profiles, which are all evaluated in the consideration of special principle and structure of this kind motor. As for the ripple torque, the strategy of sine-microstep drive is achieved, in order to acquire uniform step angles, High resolution and smoothness improvement, Finally, after the simulation of a sample, its effectiveness is proved.
