The subject of this study is part of the graduate outstanding innovative projects in Shanxi Province," the optimization of the hyrid stepping motor and its drive controller design "(20113043). The hybrid stepping motor is a special motor to chieve high-precision angular positioning and control, because of its advantage like low price,simple control system, the error does not accumulate and so on, widely be used in industrial production and social life. The hybrid stepping motor due to the particularity of its stator and rotor structure, so it was a complex project to accuratly calculate its static performance and dynamic performance in theory. Some limitations were exited in the previous calculation method. The initial stage of the stepping motor researching, the frequently be used analogy method like the most simple linear method, the air gap permeance method, due to a lot of simplication, the highly nonlinear hybrid stepping motor magnetic circuit and dual sotted stator and rotor characteristics did not be considered, and thus exited a large accuracy errors in the calculation, it is diffcult to meet the engineering needs, only be used to do a qualitative analysis. On the other hand, the hybrid stepping motors currently used did not meet the best ratio in the performance. We can optimize the design of the motor, increase the output torque under the premise of reasonable structure design, meanwhile does not increase the manufacturing cause of the motor and material consumption. Therefore, in order to more accurate calculation of the hybrid stepping motor performance parameters and the completion of the optimization design of the motor, do the following work:1. The calculation procedure of the teeth layer permeability method was writed using FORTRAN language, and a prototype is analyzed and calculated, the torque-angle characteristics of the prototype, the static characteristics of the static torque vs the current curve was draw. The magnetic parameters of the teeth layer database for the hybrid stepping motor was established using the interpolation method and this database was used to be the parameter basis for the optimized design of the stepping motor.2. The three-dimensional finite element analysis model of the prototype was established in the simulation software Ansoft. The static and dynamic characteristics of the prototype was calculated using this model. The calculation results was deeply analysised.3. The prototype has been optimized using the genetic algorithm(GA) which has the ability of the global search optimal solution.The optimization objective function, optimization variables and constraints of the prototype’s optimized model was designed combined with the characteristics of the hybrid stepping motor.4. Static experimental platform has been designed. The static characteristics of the prototype was measured, and the result was used to be compared with the result of the teeth layer permeability method and three-dimensional finite element method. The reason of error between the theoretical calculations and experimental results was analysised.
