For satisfying the demand of news communication, the RF coaxial connector playing the great role in transmission news tend to be small-sized, high frequency, high power and high reliability. Specially, the parameters of the RF coaxial connector for military use are higher than those for civil use, such as voltage standing wave ratio, radio frequency leakage and high power resistance.This article introduced the design principle and design method of the high power RF coaxial connector, and analyzed the reason why reflection wave emerged. The method how to reduce the VS WR of the RF coaxial connector has been studied in this paper. The un-continued capacity must be calculated exactly and be compensated by changing the structure of the connector to raise the inductance in the steps of conductor.The high power measure system has been developed in this paper. The system is effective and accurate for radio frequency power test.At last, the parameters of the high power RF coaxial connector had been measured. The connector can be used in military system.The design methods should be a good reference for those who research the RF coaxial connector.
