| With the rapid development of mobile communications, bringing spectrum resources increasingly poor with increasing of all types of wireless communications applications. multi-carrier or multi-system coexistence is increasing in order to upgrade system capacity. This makes lots of signals of different frequencies exist within the same transmission channel and cause passive intermodulation interference phenomenon, such interference will reduce the spectral efficiency of the transmission system, improve the error rate and reduce system receiving sensitivity, the system even can’t work seriously. As a typical RF passive device for coaxial cable assemblies, intermodulation products generated by passive nonlinear effects of its own has become one of the main sources of communication system signal interference. As a special RF cable for leaky cable, now it’s used to carry more and more signals and will has possible to generate passive intermodulation interference then affect transmission quality if mated connector performance is not good. Therefore low intermodulation performance’s research and implementation of leaky coaxial cable assemblies is an urgent task, it has very important significance for enhancing product brand and core competitiveness to lead the market.Based on deeply analysis for the passive intermodulation generation mechanism, influential factor and mitigation measure, summarized possible influence factors of passive intermodulation performance in existing connecting structure of leaky cable and connector and subsequent improvement actions, through low intermodulation design optimization for connecting structure between inner conductor and outer conductor of cable and connector, increased the connecting area, improved connecting pressure force and reduced nonlinear factor, realized low intermodulation performance design goals for leaky coaxial cable connector. Test results proved that this optimized connecting structure meet expected low intermodulation requirement target and no any degradation for other performance of connector, accomplish the expected research target. And the structure is more reliable, simple and fast assembly, low cost, excellent RF performance and more stable, and greatly expand engineering application for leaky cable. |
