Study On The Relationship Between Residence Constration Of Beijing Central Towns And Urban Planning

With the speeding up of urbanization development in China, the development of small town was assigned as a new growing point of economy in Beijing. The development of small towns especially the central small towns in countryside has been paid more and more attention. Healthy and orderly developing of central small town plays an extremely important role in the development of small towns in Beijing area, and even to town-groups Jin—Ji. The Author was fortunate to be involved in a project on the study of central town planning of Beijing, which was sponsored, by Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning and Beijing University Of Technology. Working on this project, the author got abundant original information by investigating and visiting leaders in central towns of Beijing. Base on summarizing and analyzing the information, the author found out present situation of commercial residence constructing in the 33 central towns of Beijing, and classified them into different types by the position in planning and construction situation, and figure out the differentiation phenomenon. In the course of urbanization and suburbanization, there are some issues in residence construction, such as wrong orientation, insufficient controlling of planning, sleeping city phenomenon, dated infrastructure for living service and empty of commercial residence.
