As one of the most important active automobile security control technology, traction control system (TCS) improve driving ability and steering stability ofvehicle by preventing driving-wheels from excessive slip to its best mode on low-μroad. One of the most common projects is to control the output torque of engineand the brake torque to driving-wheels, and the electronic throttle control apparatusis the actuator which can control the output torque of engine by activating thestepping motor and the electromagnetic clutch. In 1985, Volvo automotive company in Sweden applied the first electronictraction control system called ETC on its productions. And since then, it's almost20 years when experts have been doing research on TCS including the electronicthrottle control apparatus abroad. As a result, the technology used on TCS getsmore and more advanced, and relevant productions are used widely. Nowadays, more and more cars are equipped with TCS as standard or optional equipment. Butin China, the researchs on TCS just are in commencement phase mainly focusingon cotrollers, not the actuators, although some automotive joint ventures likeFAW-VW already have equipped their cars with ASR/TCS. This paper is a part ofthe project "Research on Traction Control System of Light Off-Road Vehicle",designing the electronic throttle control apparatus and doing research on GA PIDTCS algorithm base on some other algorithms used to be applied in TCS. In all, thefollowing researchs have been finished:⑴Because there are no available projects about the construction andprofessional designing methods of electronic throttle control apparatus which can...
