Spindle is a main part that provides twisting and winding in ring spinning frame. Its dynamic character directly influences quality of yarn, energy consumption of mills and operator's health. Quality of spindle reflects level of textile machines' development. So study on spindle's dynamic character is of actual importance.A system of testing and analysis of spindle's dynamic character is developed in the paper, which consists of two parts of hardware and software. the hardware is composed of acceleration sensor , charge amplifier, vibration testing instrument of spindle , circuit amplifier,DAQ, computer and printer; the software is developed with virtual instrument of LabVIEW under the Windows environment. It mainly includes DAQ interface driving module, data gathering module, signal display and analysis module, reading, writing and printing module etc. and can analyzes signals from three channels in time domain and frequency domain at the same time. Due to clear user interface, simple-operation and lower development expenditure and easier to upgrade than traditional instruments, the system is widely applied in many fields of vibration testing and analysis and faults diagnosis etc.Plentiful testing and analysis on different kinds of spindle is done. Firstly, the first three orders of natural frequency of blade with wharve and bolster are tested by the way of inspiriting; then detailed testing and analysis of spindle system are done. The results show that as to the spindle SD1203C, vibration of the lower part of bolster is obviously stronger than the upper part and the spectrum peak of 1315Hz in the frequency spectrum of the lower part is evidently increased with the enhancing of rotate speed. So it's concluded that this is caused by foot-step's vibration and the spectrum peaks of rotate frequency, twotimes and three times of rotate frequency in the spectrum of top of blade displacement are very high that is the result of the blade and wharve's unbalance. The fault of blade and wharve's unbalance is similarly occurred in the spindle ZD3203C, whereas there is good balance in the spindle 04TD263.In addition, the signals are processed of noise avoiding and detecting of discontinuous points by the way of wavelet analysis. A virtual instrument of signal noise avoiding is designed. The sine and spindle vibrating signals blended with yawp are made the process of noise avoiding by the function of WDEN(), The results show that the processed signals are similar to the original signal. Most actual gathered signals are inevitably mixed with impulse or gap signals, so a discontinuous sine and spindle vibrating signals are analyzed with the wavelet of db5 in this paper and it is obviously saw that the original signal are broken from the detail coefficients.To sum up, vibration of the upper and lower part of bolster and the displacement of the top of blade are tested and analyzed with self-developing system of vibration testing and analysis. The result is very important to quality analysis and faults diagnosis of spindle.
