Exploration Of "Reflective Design"--Study On Jose Rafael Moneo's Architectural Design Thoughts And Works

Since China began to be reformed, especially after 1990, construction industry of China has obtained unprecedented development. But at the same time there is also a redoubtable tendency: Architects are blindly eager for the novelty of formal in architectural design, whereas neglect people's requirement in real life. In their works, they frequently design buildings with the purpose of self-expression and efface the connection between buildings and real life and the society responsibility as an architect Spanish architect Rafael Monco claims that one architect should pay more attention to the specific problems that a project confronts with in reality and should respond to them clearly in works than expressing his own individuality and escaping from reality problem. For the social responsibility and untiring exploration on the essence of architecture shown in his works, he has obtained a broad recognition in international architectural design realm.
