In this paper, the static analysis, modal analysis, seismic accelerate response spectrum analysis and elastic dynamic time-history analysis of Zhixin square engineering are performed by using the FEA software of ANSYS. This engineering is located in Jing'an district of Shanghai. The Zhixin square engineering includes a tall building of 32 stories and the structure type of this building is frame-corewall structure. The height of this building is over 100 meters and the planar arrangement is more complex. The FEA of this building can provide data and results for the design and construction. Above this, it means reference value for the analysis of the same type structures. This paper is consisted of several parts shown as following.I. After some simplifications, we created the static and dynamic modals corresponded to the actual building.II. Through calculation and analysis of static modal under dead load, live load and wind load, we derived the non-seismic character of the structure.III. After the modal analysis of dynamic modal, we derived the selfsustained oscillation character and the main modes of structure.IV. After the seismic accelerate response spectrum analysis, we derived the anti-seismic character of structure.V. As the complement of spectrum analysis, we analyze theresponses of dynamic modal under the contribution of three earthquake waves and compare it with the spectrum results. We can obtained the internal force and deformation response of structure under static load, wind load and the seismic load. After comparison and analysis the following results are provided.I. Under the contribution of horizontal action, the step-back leads to the mutation of rigidity and the enlargement of component internal force.II. About how to determined the reasonable mode number in mode-superposition method, we obtained the result in this paper.III. As to the structure with even rigidity, torsion does less influence and the combination method of SRSS can be adopted.IV. In the elastic dynamic time-history analysis, the response of structure under the contribution of artificial earthquake wave is larger than that of the actual wave. Except this, we found that the average results of structure under three earthquake waves are dower with the results of spectrum analysis. These conclusions acquired in this paper provide some advices for the FEA of tall building structures.
