The rapid increase of national economy requires the traffic to develop quickly. Because of the special status of the bridges, their reliability is quite important. On the one hand, with the increasing traffic and the advancing grade of the load, the reliability of the old bridges should be pay attention to. On the other hand, the new bridges' reliability should be analyzed before they operate, in order to ensure enough safety, applicability and wear. This article firstly studies the theory of structure reliability, summarizes the various computational methods, and compares them with each other. For some comparatively secondary structures whose reliability need not be known definitely, their reliability can be estimated though the method of hypothesis testing. The reliability of continuous girder bridge system is emphatically studied in this article. During the course of studying, the correlative effect of the components or son-systems of the continuous girder bridge system is considered, and the whole domino offect of the bridge is also taken into account. The reasonable computational method is put forward, so the characteristic of invalidity of the continuous girder bridge system can be grasped as a whole, and the more scientific method is provided for such system. Finally, the article gives the evaluating process of the reliability of continuous girder bridge, and studies the reliability of the Tushan Huaihe Bridge based on load experiment, the result shows the continuous girder bridge is reliable, and can be used normally.
