Important way to test for bridge structure performance evaluation has been widely applied in engineering practice, among them, the load test is a kind of safety of bridge structure is very important detection means, it is more scientific and more intuitive for engineering and technical personnel to evaluates the performance of the bridge structure has brought the convenience, also for the updating and development of bridge structure design theory and construction technology of bridge structure improvement provide the precious experience. Therefore, through the test to evaluate the overall performance of the structure of the bridge is of great importance to theoretical and application value.Proceeding from the system research development on the basis of structure test research both at home and abroad, on the basis of a brief introduction to the test application in the field of bridge construction.Based on the continuous rigid frame bridge as an engineering example, through field test the theoretical data compared with the measured data, the bridge structure under the influence of static load response parameters, make a scientific evaluation of the performance of the structure of the bridge, bridge in order to ensure the safe operation provide practical information. This article main research results are as follows :(1) Through the study of bridge detection and load test data at home and abroad,the end of the conditions of the bridge detection and analyzes the load test process and purpose.(2) Through the detection of the exterior of the engineering example, assess the impact of current bridge appearance of structure.(3) Through the static load test, determination of bridge structure under the effect of load control section strain and deflection, and the analysis of the field compared with the theoretical value, verify the bridge structure is in line with the design and specification requirements.(4) By dynamic load test, determination of bridge structure under dynamic loadof modal parameters, forced vibration characteristics, natural vibration characteristics and impact coefficient, the analysis of the structure under the action of dynamic load response parameters change, for the whole bridge structure performance evaluation to provide a more scientific basis.(5) The long-term deflection observation system into the evaluation system of the bridge, the bridge structure in the safety monitoring of life cycle.(6) Comprehensive evaluation of the safety of the bridge structure that performance for the bridge completion acceptance and provide a scientific basis for maintenance and repair work in the future.
