Research On The Planning And Design Of Middle School Educational Facilities

In 1980s the reform of education mechanism promoted the development of middle school facilities. In 1990s, with the push of education, the advanced construction technology and materials, and the IT application, the facilities of middle school developed rapidly, and began to focus on the demision, environment and creation of facilities' function.The research introduces the development history of Chinese middle school educational facilities from 1980's, and summarises the primary elements which push the educational facilities, furthermore the research analyzes the characteristics of middle school educational facilities in certain coutries, such as England, America, Japan and Singapore. Based on the literature review and survey in several middle schools in Tianjin, the research presents the characteristics, types and finesses in planning and designing middle schools and buildings.The reseach introducese a few middle schools in TianJin built recent years, and furthermore introduces the designing of the first middle school in Qufu, Shandong province, which was finished in 2002 by the author, is a good example in using advanced designing notion. Finally, the research discusses the developmental trend of our middle school educational facilities and expects that these deavour mentioned above can assist and enlignten middle school educational facilities at theory and practice project.
