With the transformation of social education concepts,the innovation of education models and the introduction of new college entrance examination policies,as well as the rapid renewal of urban construction,the planning and design of middle school campus space needs to meet many new needs and face new challenges.In addition to new campuses,a large number of existing campuses need to achieve functional enhancement and spatial environment improvement.At the same time,the “mainstream model” of school space that has been accumulated for a long time in the education and construction industries is still in play after being inherited for a long time.Its impact."Space demand" is the " dependent variable " of the educational model reform,and one of the prerequisites for proper campus planning and design is to explore the new requirements of the educational model reform on the campus spatial pattern.This article attempts to combine planning and design cases,discuss the new requirements of the new middle school education model for campus architectural space,and how to deal with the challenges from the professional interior and the surrounding urban environment in the planning and design(especially the expansion and reconstruction of the existing campus).The first half of the thesis discusses the development trend of school campus architectural planning and design in the context of current education reform in my country,and through case studies,summarizes the new requirements faced by current campus planning and design,as well as some feasible ideas for solving typical contradictions in practice.The second half of the thesis describes the design and research of the actual project.Among them are the confirmation of the conclusions of the first half of the thesis and the extended application in the design,as well as the summary of the particularity of the case.As a professional degree master’s thesis,this article aims to put forward new understandings and possible enlightening viewpoints on the planning and design of middle schools in the context of educational reform through specific technical design and special research.
