Today the protection and renewal is subject that has been highly regarded by all nations of the world. Historic building and environment is not only the memory of one country, but also the enchantment of certain place . It is the precious resource that human can' t reproduce. Now we architects are searching the way to solve the conflict and confrontation between individuality and inherent of each local regions vs. commonality and globalization of the world. The protection of historic environment is an important problem we are facing with..With the rise of tourist industry, people begin " culture visit " aim at human cultural sight. Thereupon, a large number of hotel buildings that in the historic environment are in constructing too. In the designs of these constructions, adopting mentality of designing and design tactics assort with environmental history is a kind of protection to the historic building and environment.This thesis begins with the hotel buildings which are largely built around the historic and cultural legacy and in the historic cultural city. Choosing three hotels which has certain model and of comparability ,QueLi hotel, Xian Garden Hotel and Sheraton Suzhou hotel as the research object to carry on a comparative research. With scientific attitude and method, surveyed, analyzed and studied the objects fully and accurately. This thesis also discussed the ways and the methods of creating the building in the historic environment and how to reflect profound history and culture intension in each detail of the buildings. On this basis, summarized the experience and offered some certain reference and basis for hotel architectural design of the same type.
