This paper particularly analyze the characteristic of bulk grain and request of stability check of IMO combining the loading practice in transport of bulk grain carrier. The strict stability criteria for bulk grain carriers make the stowage calculation extremely complicated. Described here in this paper is a newly-developed software system for the calculation of the stowage of bulk grain carriers. And put forward the simplified method in checking the stability and strength of bulk grain carrier according to the situation that calculating checking the stability and strength of bulk grain carrier is very complex. A new method and the principle is presented for plotting the critical metacentric height curve which meets IMO's intact stability criteria and weather criteria,and the critical metacentric height curve which meets 1976 SOLAS intact stability criteria. And the critical metacentric height curve is used in the Stability check of bulk grain carriers in accordance with the stability rules for bulk grain carriers. This paper introduces the simulation method and advanced computer technology combining with ship statics principle into cargo shipment of bulk grain carrier,and develops loading simulation system of the bulk grain carrier. This Paper describes the relating high precision calculation algorithms of the stability,trim and strength calculation used by the loading software in detail,focuses on the algorithms of numerical value integral and curve difference and imitate algorithms.This system also can present a loading plan according the difference of draft and other loading require. And display the result of stability and strength. This system also can guide filling in report table of stability. So it can ease greatly the working intensity. |
