Study On The Interior Design Of The Disused Old People Based On The Aged

According to the data released by the Ministry of Public Health, there are over 1.8 billion senior citizens in China, and the figure is increasing by 5 to 8 million annually. [1] 26 provinces and cities out of 31 in China turn into aging society successively. Aging society, this phenomenon, begins to influence our daily life.In the meantime, our traditional home care model has been impacted by some objective factors, such as social environment, children’s working pressure and their financial conditions. Under this circumstance, organizational elderly support becomes many senior citizens’choice as well as their relatives’because of its comfortable living environment, advanced equipment and facilities, thorough nursing works and complete management. The severe aging problem changes people’s concept of elderly support which stimulates the needs of organizational elderly support for senior citizens.With the amplifying scale of disabled senior citizens, their accommodation becomes a hot-spot domestically, but there are very few systematic argumentations towards indeed demand of living environment for disabled senior citizens. Firstly I will find out the needing structure for disabled senior citizen based on existing researches and classify their needs into mental and physical. Then I will take medical perspective as my breakthrough-point to study the specific clinical manifestation of disabled senior citizen’s common illness. And lastly I will conclude the indeed living needs for disabled senior citizens considering their mental need as well as their physical needs.By conducting research, I summarize the current situation of the living condition of those disabled senior citizens who live in the elderly support organizations.Combining their mental and physical needs, I try to find out a qualified designing scheme which satisfies those needs. Ultimately I come up with the qualified designing scheme by analyzing from 3 aspects:The designing requirements for disabled senior citizens in the elderly supporting organizations, the interior space design elements for disabled senior citizens and the personal space design elements for disabled senior citizens.Hopefully the argument not only can take a referenced role in environment design for disabled senior citizens, but also can provide you with a new perspective as a breakthrough point when you conduct the research of disabled senior citizens’ actual living needs. And eventually we can perfect their living environment and offer them a comfortable, safe and healthy living space.
