The Design Research Of Community For Senior Citizens

With the reform and opening up, China's rapid economic development, social progress, China's aging population has emerged in China in 1999 the country officially entered the ranks of aging, aging of the population has become a serious social problem, if handled properly, it will affect and constrain economic development, social stability. In aging, the elderly housing is the most important issue.In the 60s of last century, old age pension living in the community focused model is proposed in the international arena, and in Europe and the United States and other developed countries to develop, in particular, is widely used in the United States. Beginning of this century, the first case was developed older communities in Beijing and then to address the issue of aging in Shanghai, Kunshan, with a corresponding old age community. The older elderly living in the community to attract a large number of stay, but for the elderly living in our research community is relatively lagging behind in the old areas of community planning and design of a number of norms are not appropriate and systematic theory, more difficult to form a system of guidance.This paper focused on the senior citizens who live in the community. Through the combination with a large variety of subject knowledge, such as sociology, physiology, psychology, statistics, architecture, urban planning, various methods, after evaluation of elderly communities based on system in the hope of the future elderly community planning and design, and development management can play a reference and research for the topic to provide some reference. Chapters I and II of this paper is the part of the problem raised by the aging of our population the context of severe problems, the need to improve our living conditions, pension issues need a proper solution, and proposed the concept of community living elderly. In chapter III and Chapter IV, through three case studies, and referring some papers of community design, the author summarizes the appropriate design for community design concept for elder people. Chapter V make a post-occupancy evaluation for Lvdi Xiaoxianfang which based on Chapter IV of the old residential community design study. Chapter VI is the part of the conclusion which views the development and future of community for senior citizens.
