Analysis On The Feasibility Of Wenzhou 's Declaration Of National Historic And Cultural Cities

The National Historical City conservation system is a very important part ofhistorical and cultural inheritance conservation systems in our country. The title“National Historic City” is the recognition of one city’s historical and cultural statusand values. Wenzhou，the largest city in South Zhejiang, has its own regionalcharacteristics and advantages in history and culture. Wenzhou restarted itsapplication for National Historic City in2010, and set the goal of success by the endof2014.According to the relevant policies, regulations and theories about NationalHistoric City, combining the local fact, this essay analyses Wenzhou’s applicationconditions and forecast the application prospect. On the basis of introduction aboutWenzhou’s application survey, investigation on Wenzhou’s historical and culturalconservation situation, analysis on Wenzhou’s historical and cultural orientation,combining the distribution pattern and evolution trends of National Historic Cities inChina and comparative analysis between Wenzhou and other competitive cities, thisessay will come to a conclusion about the prospect of Wenzhou’s application forNational Historic City.
