Solar energy is one of the most abundant renewable energy.Photovoltaic power generationtechnology provides a wide stage for the use of solar energy. Compared with nuclear power andthermal power, photovoltaic power generation lies scatteredly at the remote location, and is notconvenient to data monitoring and statistics. In order to avoid the waste of manpower resourcescapacity and ensure the safe and reliable operation of photovoltaic power station,it is of greatsignificance to do research on photovoltaic power station monitoring system.This paper designed a set of household photovoltaic power station monitoring system aimingat small household photovoltaic power plant project.This paper designed the user interface withDelphi7.0, which is able to display, make statistics and clarify the collected data on the spot.Thesystem can give a alarm for the fault message to ensure the safe operation of the photovoltaicpower station. SQL Server2000database is used to store data which is transferred from lowercomputer to upper computer.The main work in this paper is as follows:(1) The research background of this topic was described in this paper.The paper also analysedthe current situation of domestic and international photovoltaic power station monitoring systemin detail and expounded the important significance of this paper.(2) The selection of developing environment and database was introduced in this paper.Thepaper analysed the functional requirements of the power station monitoring system, gave out ofthe system function module chart and established the database system.(3) The developing of all the function modules of user interface was given out in this paper.(4) The selection of communication mode was introduced in this paper.This paper also gave upof the set up of the communication protocol and designed the communication module of thissystem using Delphi serial communication control Spcomm.(5) System functional test was carried out in this paper. The experimental results showed thatthe development of household monitoring system of photovoltaic power station achieved theexpected goal, could communicate between the upper computer and lower computer in real timeby RS-485bus and displayed on the user interface.The test also verified the feasibility andcorrectness of the design.
