With the emergence of the energy crisis, accelerating the development of clean and renewable energy has become the consensus of the world. Photovoltaic power generation, on behalf of the new energy technologies, has been widely used. Photovoltaic power plant monitoring system is an important part of photovoltaic power station. It plays an important role on accurately handling the operation of photovoltaic power plant, completing the evaluation of photovoltaic power station and optimizing the design of photovoltaic power plants.Combined with the construction of New Energy Demonstration Laboratory of Donghua University, this paper adopts the thought of distributed hierarchical control to complete the design of photovoltaic power plant monitoring system. The whole design of the system, photovoltaic environment monitor hardware connection and software control flow, on-site communication network structures and the design of control center interface are mainly introduced. The system has some characters as large data transfer amount, high transmission speed, integral structure, intuitive interface and strong operability, adapting to the future photovoltaic power plants development trend of intelligent management and convenient Man-machine communication.First of all, the structure and working principle of photovoltaic power plant control system have been analyzed generally. Some different programs have been compared and chose based on system topology, data communication mode and interface design. The bus topology, Profibus-DP field bus and WLAN (Wireless Local Area Network) for field and remote data transmission, and King View 6.53 as the development tool of control center interface, are used in this system.Secondly, software and hardware designing methods of photovoltaic environment monitor have been represented. Based on the ARM7 chip, the environmental parameters as radiation exposure, ambient temperature, component temperature and wind speed are collected and processed together, and corresponding control flow are also provided.Thirdly, on the basis of the further research of Profibus-DP field bus communication theory, field data communication task has been completed with the help of Hilscher Profibus-DP embedded communication module. Hardware connecting solutions, communication parameter setting program and protocol preparation have been given. At last, monitoring center interfaces are completed with the soft KingView 6.53. The interfaces are designed with modular design ideology, tracing the main line of system operation, data analysis and event ascend. In addition to some conventional functions as system status displaying, alarming and so on, some data analysis tools such as XY control and histogram analysis are superadded, in order to make users more accurately understand the running condition of photovoltaic power plant and put out related operations.In this project, field bus and the configuration software technology are used to design the photovoltaic power station monitoring system. Utilitarian functions as data analysis and benefit calculation are added on the basis of the existing monitoring system. With the exploratory study of the future high-speed convenient photovoltaic power station monitoring system, this project will have positive significance for developing intellectual property photovoltaic power plant monitoring product.
