Using the classical and modern advanced methods to be combined, the present Paper is to design, calculate and analyze the structure of the self-lift luffing jib crane with the hoist ability of 2580t.m used in the large-scaled electricity construction, which provides the basis for the manufacture of prototype crane in the practical project.In accordance with the feather of the large-scaled luffing jib crane at present to be more and more numerous and jumbled in structure and powerful in performance, firstly this Paper conducts the primary design for each structure of jib crane with the traditional method, meanwhile, in according to the relative formula in"Criteria of design for crane"GB3811-83 and"Criteria of design for tower crane"GB/T 5031-2008, the primary proofread are conducted on its intensity, rigidity and stability. After the structure is basically confirmed to be logical, using the finite element method on computer and computer software SAP84 and ANSYS which used in domestic and foreign countries for structure calculation to model, simulate, calculate and analyze accurately. The non-linear influence of structure deformation is sufficiently considered in the calculation analysis of the total structure of jib crane. Base on the second order theory, using beam system to make the rigidity array of finite element precise to optimize and recompile the software decoder for business, to simulate the real stress and deformation of the structure. In the calculation, except from the working conditions stipulated in criteria, many complex load combinations which may be encountered in the practical work for Tower crane are designed, to model the real working situation of jib crane as possible to calculate, analyze in detail and then get the result.In order to obtain more precise result, for the trend of more discrete for the inevitable equivalent component in parameter model of finite element of integrated structure of jib crane, to separate some key equivalent structure from the integrated structure model to make the second design calculate analysis. These parts are all belong to the important component of bearing pressure and flexion in the jib crane, such as"machine frame and gyro flat roof"structure,"tie-in"structure etc. In the second analysis, the shell unit and entity unit are used to evaluate the result accurately and such structure is designed to be optimized.The final result of structure design is in line with the design criteria and can satisfy the requirement for use.
