Automotive testing engineering, playing an important role in the overall development of automotive industry, is one of the basic projects of automotive industry, and automotive testing technology can provide a strong support for automotive testing engineering. The existing automotive test system mainly adopts the way of wired connection. Automotive test needed to be conducted in large special testing ground, typical area, or other harsh environments, in which field wiring task is arduous and error prone; some automotive tests such as snake-like test are with a high risk, which may lead to accident easily and result in serious losses. The existing test system urgently needs further improvement to reduce losses. ZigBee communication technology, which is characterized by low-energy consumption, low-rate transmission, and low-cost, can be applied in a special environment with strong interference. Automotive intelligent test system designed in this thesis is a new kind of automotive performance test system using ZigBee wireless data transmission technology. It can decrease the field wiring task amount, and effectively reduce the test preparation time. When test accident appears, the wireless test system can also reduce the loss.The system uses the C8051F020 microcontroller as MCU of network terminal nodes, uses SZ05-ADV wireless communication module, as a wireless transceiver devices, to build a data acquisition system of automotive braking performance test based on ZigBee wireless communication technology. The system adopts the star network topology. In the system the wireless network terminal nodes collect data of automobile brake pedal force, brake traction force, brake pipe force and brake temperature etc, which is sent into the C8051F020 microcontroller for A / D conversion after the front pretreatment. Then the data is sent by the transmitter module, and the coordinator node receives the data and communicates with the computer through serial interface. So the automotive braking performance test data acquisition of wireless sensor network is achieved. This thesis uses Protel DXP to design the schematic and PCB of hardware circuit, uses Silicon Labs IDE to prepare procedures for system data processing and communications, and develops the interface of upper computer. The system is running normally through the debug finally, and the intended function can be achieved. Aiming at the deficiencies in existing automotive performance test system and the actual needs, this thesis analyses and designs the wireless acquisition programs based on ZigBee technology from an overall perspective, gives the design and analysis of specific hardware and software, as well as anti-interference and reliability, bring forward a new method of sensor data acquisition for automotive performance test based on ZigBee technology.
