Metal rubber is developed a functional structure of the porous damping material since the 60s of the 20th century. Its internal wires intersect to form the spatial network structure. This structure is very similar to the rubber polymer structure and has the same properties of the rubber. Metal rubber relies on friction, which produced by the relative slip between the wires, to dissipation vibration energy, achieving the purpose of vibration. It has a high damping, can be made complex shapes easily and has the characteristics of environmental adaptability. Metal rubber has been used in developed countries widely and successfully. It is important to do some research work in this field and apply this technology actively in China.In this paper, the manufacturing technology of metal-net is explored, the main parameters of the performance with net of metal rubber block is received. The metal rubber character in different structure parameter has been researched. Stiffness characteristics of the metal rubber is analyzed, according to the spring theory. Have a result of the constitutive of the metal rubber. Provide a basis for metal rubber product design and application.Deformation problem of metal rubber is explored by the help of mathematic model. Non-linear relationship between deformation and pressing force is studied through this method. Comparing experimental date with the mathematical model, the comparison results prove the consistency, then we can conclude that the built model is correct.
