Study On The Landscape Environment Of General Hospital

Hospitals are the places where people get rid of pain and suffering and the camps which give hope of lives. For such a long time, hospitals have focused so much on the function that the designers concern more about the construction techniques and how to improve health care quality and management efficiency. With the changing from "bio-medical" pattern to "biology-psychology-social medical" pattern, the hospital has been in the transformation to a compound which means "medical care, prevention and rehabilitation". Good medical environment has become a new standard in the design of modern hospitals. In the construction of medical environment, landscape environment in hospitals has caught more and more eyes these years.General hospital is the main medical institution in China. It is closely related to people's daily life. However, the development of landscape environment in general hospital is relatively backward. The typical problems are insufficient green space, unreasonable layout, the crushing structure, lack of association with master plan, architecture and transport system, lack of cordial and reasonable sites and facilities, etc.. So many issues have made study on landscape environment of general hospital necessary.The preface clarified the background, purpose, significance of the study, the frame and content of each chapter. The second part introduced the history of hospital and evolution of landscape environment in the hospital in aspect of time and space. The related theories and the current problems of the landscape environment in general hospital were also mentioned in this part. In the third chapter, also the main part of the paper, according to the problems, the paper gave a further study and analysis from six dimensions including layout, form, transport system, plants, sites and users. Ultimately, the paper made summaries on how to ensure the quantity of green space, how to improve the quality and using efficiency of the green space. In the last part, the paper showed some extended thoughts and gave some suggestions for the landscape environment construction of general hospitals in the future. In general hospitals, scientific and humane planning and design on landscape environment can make the benefits maximized and optimized on physiology, psychology, society and other aspects. The paper tried to make full use of multi-disciplinary including medical, planning, architecture, landscape, gardening and even behavioral psychology, so as to get a cross-analysis and provide helpful suggestions to improve the landscape environment of general hospitals right now and in the future.
