ABSTRACT:Electronic Toll Collection is one of the most important research and application in Intelligent Transportation Systems.Electronic Toll Collection is especially suitable for environment with highway,heavy traffic tunnels and bridges.By technical means of Electronic Toll Collection,It is possible to improve the traffic capacity of road, vehicle efficiency, reduce fuel consumption and vehicle wear and tear,reduce emissions, and achieve energy conservation and protection of the environment.This thesis describes the background of Toll Collection System performs development of class B OBU according to GB/T20851,Class A and class B are different in transmission rate, modulation mode and encoding.There are some features about class B including high transmission rate,high reliability and so on.This thesis mainly studies Manchester decoding and overall deal flow. Chapter one expounds the background of Electronic Toll Collection, the developing situation at home and abroad and the significance of developing ETC.Chapter two summarizes the system of ETC. Chapter three introduces the hardware structure designing of ETC. In chapter five, the software structure designing of ETC is introduced. In chapter six, the consistency of the protocol by testing Logical Link Control is verified.The last part of this paper summarizes the characteristics of the subject and deficiency,and perfects the system based on the finished work.
