The paper researched and invented two kinds of additives for WMA, which are based on the analysis of advantages and disadvantages of WMA technology and the application of WMA at domestic and abroad. The agent can lower the mixing temperature of asphalt mixture without sacrificing the performance of the matrix asphalt. This paper analyzed the influence of two agents to asphalt, the pavement performance and the temperature change law of WMA. Economic analysis was done.The influence of different additive on mixing and compaction temperature of the asphalt mixture is studyed, and their pavement performances were tested. Combined of viscosity-temperature curve and void-temperature method, the paper determines the mixing and compaction temperature of WMA. The results showed that, compared with the same level of HMA, the mixing temperature of WMA mixture within I is 9.6℃lower, and that within II is 26.6℃lower. Both High temperature stability and moisture susceptibility of the two WMA are equivalent to HMA. Self-made device is used to simulate the cooling process of asphalt mixture and compare the temperature changes characteristics of WMA to HMA. The results showed that,Ⅱreduced the cooling rate of the half inner mixture, but increased where by nearly the outer 1/4 range. At last, WMA construction technology and quality control points were raised.In summary,Ⅱcan significantly reduce the mixing temperature of asphalt mixture without affecting its performance. Besides,Ⅱcan delay temperature loss, extend the construction time, and save energy.
