In the past a long time, hospital design has been focused on building technology and management efficiency. However, we're moving into a more humanity stage. More and more people begin to pay attention to the comfortableness of the hospital's courtyard. Especially for the children's hospital, the people required a higher environmental space. Because the children's hospital is a special hospital. In a foreign country, the theory of the hospital courtyard's environment has formed for a system theory. However, our country's theory on this research is very little.Children's hospital courtyard's environment is very important for the users. Because the users are the most vulnerable in the society. But in our country the designers have been ignored the courtyard's environment. So the thesis research this aspect on the hospital's courtyard environment. First, the paper consults a lot of relevant literature material at home and abroad, with investigating some place. Then we get some problems. And we choose two typical northern children's hospital courtyard as a case. We begin compared and analyzed. In the analytical process, the paper combined the environmental behavior theory and child psychology theory. The thesis summarized the user's psychological needs and the relationship between the users and the courtyard elements. The paper used the observation method, cognitive map and questionnaire method etc.The paper analyzed from multiple levels and point of view. Then the paper puts forward the optimal suggestion of garden space environment. In the end, the paper discussed the design and trend of the children's hospital courtyard space. In the future, the paper will play a certain reference on the children's hospital courtyard space in our country.
