With the development of society and modern medicine, the field of hospital construction is facing new challenges. In hospital buildings supported by various new models and technologies, the humanized design of the medical space is equally important. The traffic space itself is an important part of the architectural space. The hospital has complex functions and emphasizes the connection and isolation between the districts.Traffic space carries the characteristics of public space, and the loading capacity of children’s hospitals will also face huge challenges in the future. With the improvement of living standards and the development of scientific and technological capabilities, people’s demand for buildings is gradually increasing. As one of the important components inside the building, the traffic space plays the role of connecting various spaces.Through the combination of topological network analysis and child psychology, this paper analyzes the influencing factors of traffic space from the perspectives of users and architects.Through the investigation of the traffic space in the outpatient building of a typical children’s hospital, combined with the depthmap X software to explore the quantitative relationship between spatial perception and control attributes.Sort out the psychological factors influencing comfort, healing, entertainment, and warning, and combine the spatial geometry of the case to extract node-type,limited-type,open-type,and functionally complex traffic space attributes. On this basis,an optimized design of the traffic space in the outpatient building of the Children’s Hospital was established.Propose design elements that meet the corresponding space in four aspects: comfort, healing, entertainment, and warning;summarize the design for children in terms of spatial scale, light environment, sound environment, color, furnishings, indoor greening, and identification system.Point.Finally,combining the medical garden and intelligent multimedia,we look forward to more design possibilities of the traffic space in the outpatient building of the children’s hospital in the future.
