With the rapid development of economic and quantity of motor vehicle, urban traffic problems of many cities in China are more and more serious. The development of urban public transport has become an effective way to ease urban traffic problems. Currently rail transit as the backbone role, conventional public transit as the principle mode, other public transport modes to complement the public transport system has become a very popular concept of urban public transport. To improve the proportion of public transport trips, the various modes of transportation should be developed coordinately and orderly. It is no doubt that the conventional public transit will be affected by the newly developed rail transit. Conventional public transit should support and cooperate the rail transit in certain areas. On the premise of combining with rail transit, conventional public transit needs to be optimized and adjusted.This paper summarizes the optimization methods of conventional public transit as well as rail transit, and base on that, the coordinated theory between conventional public transit and rail transit is stated.The relation of conventional public transit and rail transit is analysed. Whereafter, based on the disaggregate logit model, the passengers transfer between conventional public transit and rail transit is studied. According to the attraction of rail transit, the affecting sphere of each rail station is taking as one of the affecting factors of transfer.According to different functions of conventional public transit in rail corridor, different hierarchies of the conventional public transit in rail corridor is proposed. And also optimition models for different hierarchies are put forward. By using the genetic algorithm, this paper gets the optimition models results.Last but not least, this paper establishes the index system of the conventional public transit in rail transit corridor, and evaluates the optimization scheme according to grey relational analysis.As an example, for the new Beijing Railway Daxing line, study is conducted for the connection between Daxing line and the conventional public transit in the corridor. According to the model results and corresponded adjustments, optimization scheme and its evaluation are put forward.
