ABSTRACT:After taking investigation of Chongqing monorail construction and operation conditions, Daegu of Korea decided to adopt the straddle monorail transit in subway Line 3. The PSC track beam manufacturing control software developed by Beijing Jiaotong University is used to output the manufacturing guidebook and control the manufacture of precast concrete track beam. In this context, it is researched to make evaluation of span, section dimension and structure design about Korea PSC track beam. The standardized design on PSC track beam is also analysed in this paper. According to the Korea design specification, the PSC track beam manufacturing control software specialized for Korea is developed.Daegu Urban Railway Line 3 of Korea is the first Korean urban rail transit line uesd straddle monorail transit. The design standard together with line condition of Daegu Urban Railway Line 3 of Korea is introduced. The design of span and section dimension is innovative. The standard spans of PSC track beam are 30m and 25m, and the amount of 30m span beam accounts for more than half the number of the whole beam. The standard section dimension of track beam is 1.8m (height)×0.85m (width). After the standardized analysis of track beam,11 types of standard track beam are listed. The PSC track beam design of Korean straddle monorail transmit is detailedly introduced, including cross section, beam span, concrete grade, prestress design and common reinforcement design. After compared with the PC track beam design of Chongqing, the evaluations are given for the track beam design of Korea. The design features and disadvantages of PSC track beam are summarized, and improved suggestions are also given. According to the data supplied from Korea, prestressing loss computational formulas of PSC track beam are summarized in Daegu urban railway line 3 of Korea, and compared with that of Chongqing. It has been found that there are different items of their prestressing loss computational formulas from the comparisons between China Specifications and Korea Specifications. The prestressing loss computational formulas of Korea Specification should be used in the manufacturing control software applied in precast yard of Daegu. The PSC track beam manufacturing control software specialized for Korea is developed to guide the beam manufacturing of precast yard. The calculation of software and the elongation value checking of test beam verify that the software meets the Korean design and specification. The PSC track beam manufacturing control software can be used for mass production.The research contents have strong originality. The study results provide a reference for the domes(?)ic colleagues to study Korean straddle monorail design and prestress loss calculation. The development and the successful application of PSC track beam manufacturing control software specialized for Korea enhance the technological core competitiveness of straddle monorail transit, and make a precedent for future application in the international project.
