The Post Occupancy Evaluation On Outdoor Space Environment Of Hospital In Changsha City

Since the late 1990s China has begun to enter the building to the climax of a major hospital. In the current context of large-scale construction of the hospital, people pay more and more attention to the overall environment of the hospital design. Especially the outdoor space of the hospital that was neglected in the past, its impact on overall environment of the hospital, and its psychological impact on patients and health care workers are very great. So this article explores the ways and means of designing by studying the outer space of the hospital environment, the psychological departure from the users, especially from the behavior and psychological of patients in the outdoor space of the hospital.Collected interrelated data with sociology research methods, and understood people's behavioral and mental characteristics, the thesis appraise existing the outdoor space of the hospitals using the system of post occupation evaluation basing on the outdoor space of the hospital users'appraisal opinion, and put forward optimized suggestions.Based on the results of several domestic papers relating to POE, the thesis abstracts valuable appraisal factors, and get logical course so as to try to suggest the POE model.Then, the thesis appraises several city comprehensive hospitals in Changsha: Central Hospital of Changsha, The Third Xiangya Hospital of Central South University and Xiangya Hospital of Central South University with POE model aiming at city comprehensive hospitals, which reflects objectively using situation in the outdoor space of the hospitals in Changsha with questionnaires, observation and random interviews, and analyzing the finding. Besides, based on these analyses, the paper, summed up those problems in the outdoor space of the hospitals and got their causes, puts forward optimized suggestions about the outdoor space of the hospitals to satisfy peoples in the design and administration perspective to demonstrate the outdoor space of the hospital POE model's feasibility.
