Themed hotel is a hotel management model which takes culture as its theme, hotel as its carrier, and guests' experience as its nature. It is the call of the consumers in the period of experiencing economy for the hotel industry, and the product of the market of hotel industry which is becoming more and more mature and competitive. As a new developing trend of international hotel, themed hotel has become one of the main development direction for many new building hotels, and even those traditional hotels' transformation and renovation. And it is a hotspot problem of hotel industry's research nowadays and even in the rather long future. At present, the design and development of the themed hotel elementarily remains at the scrabble stage. Some problems such as theme design is not distinctive, the market orientation has windage, the function structure is unreasonable, and the environment around is not harmony are still existed in the design. The thesis starts from analyzing the basic theory of the experiencing design of themed hotel, combines with a practice case, puts forward a basic idea of the experiencing design of themed hotel, hoping to offer some theory support and thinking leading for the studying and development of the experiencing design of themed hotel in our country.The thesis concludes six parts. The first part expounds the background, the contents and the methods of this article. The second part is the documentation summarization, summarizes the correlated studying of the hotel design, themed hotel and experiencing design. The third part is a basic part of the experiencing design of themed hotel, which theoreticly discusses the point of view, concrete principles, influence factors of the experience design of themed hotel. The forth part is an demonstration analysis part, takes Preess Resort Hotel in Changsha as an example, explains and analyses the region environment, market orientation, themed culture, function items, experiencing products, sence surroundings, image planning and transmitting of the hotel by making an on-the-spot investigation, having questionnaire survey and interviewing. The fifth part is a thinking part of the experiencing design of themed hotel. At first, the author points out the basic process of the experiencing design of themed hotel, then elaborates the design thinking of each process detailly. Comes up with some guiding ideas, such as analyzing environment resources, establishing the hotel's theme, setting function projects, exploding experiencing products, designing sense surroundings, paying attention to image planning and transmitting and ethic and morality safe. The sixth part is a conclusion, raises the result of the studying, analyses the innovation and defects of the thesis, and points out the main direction of the author's studying in the future.
