Port berth capacity is a comprehensive index, which consists of terminal handling capacity, storage capacity of repository field, collecting and distributing capacity after in overall balance. However, as the terminal is the largest part of investment. Therefore, the approved parking capacity, terminal capacity should be subject to balance. Capacity of other links that should be guaranteed berth capacity of full play.Container transport has spread all the world's maritime countries, as container transport into the mature stage. World container shipping has become an irresistible trend. Process of economic globalization is not over; in the future China will continue to maintain a leadership position in the globalization process. Under normal circumstances, the growth rate of global container traffic is more than 2 times the rate of economic growth.Rapid growth in container throughput in the country, while most of the container berths serious capacity problems become gradually apparent, mainly for the berths are often greater than the actual completion of the design throughput capacity of container berths long-term operation in the overload state. Therefore, the study on berth capacity need in-depth.For the completion of the related research, this paper started from the following aspects:First, the paper berth capacity to collect relevant research results into simulation, operation algorithms, model, and ratio of the number of four;Secondly, the paper systematically introduces the berth system composition, operation rules, parking system, through the ability of accounting method; more systematic work on the impact of parking system related indicators were quantitative and qualitative analysis.Third, the thesis of Tianjin Port Container Terminal as an example, in-depth study berths actual situation of the ship berthing rules, the use of WinQSB, Matlab, Excel to solve queuing theory model to analyze the ship to berth in Hong Kong and the service behavior, guiding berths System related work.
