The seacell was made from seaweed acid and viscose through Hi-Tech which technological process are: getting the seaweed acid,mixing,wet-spinning,bounding,scouring ,drying and baling. This fibre has the antibacterial quality,high absorbency,deep penetrating quality of gas,the biolytic quality and can beautify one's skin. In the meantime,it has the characteristics of the cellulose fibre.The fibre is a bran-new functional regenerated cellulose fibre and the research is in primary level at present.The microstructure and physical and chemical properties of seacell fibre were tested. The results of scan pattern showed that longitudinal of the fibre is smooth and fluting,and cross section has abundant of voids,and the shape of the fibre rim is irregular saw-shaped. The structure furnishs the fibre excellent moisture pick-up and send out properties and permeability. Intermit weighing test showed the DP of length is 38mm and the DP of fineness is 1.67dtex.It can take traditional way to process it. The test indicated that both dry and wet strength of seacell fibre are lower,and wet rupture elongation is smaller than dry rupture elongation,and the fibre belongs to low strength and low elongation cellulosic fibre.The test DP of fibre's resistance ratio is 3.59109?·g/cm2.Thereout,we can forecast that the seacell fibre may arose static easily in the spinning progress.So we should make a preparation for eliminate static. On the condition of standard atmospheric, the moisture regain of seacell fiber was tested,and the results showed that the regain is 8.76%,and the regression equations of regain vs time during the course of fiber's moistrure pick-up and send out curves of seacell fiber were got.Through the research of the quality of dyeing for the seacell fibre,It is known that the seacell fibre has the similar quality to the viscose fibre.It's dyeing mechanism is that there exist hydrogen bond and Van der Waals force.It's adsorption isotherm accords with Xu Deli Fry adsorption isotherm. The optimal technics were educed: dosage of dyestuff 1%(owf);temperature 70℃; dosage of salt 40g/L NaHCO3 10g/L;time of dyeing 60min.The spinning technology of pure yarn was studied based on the physical and chemical properties of seacell fiber,and 18.4tet and 14.7tex seacell pure yarns were successfully spinned.Seacell fiber has good spinning property and can be made by common cotton spinning system,processed easily and has good yarn quality.Fabric construction is designed and developed based on the physical and chemical properties and pure yarn performances of seacell fiber.Three kinds of different styles of weft knitting were produced using stitch constructions with more diversity,and combined with different yarns. The fabrics are applied to the conditions of health underclothing. The results of the test showed that the seacell fibre weft knitting has good heat and wet easiness and mechanics properties.
